7 Must Visit Beach Clubs in Bali

7 Must Visit Beach Clubs in Bali

No trip to Bali is complete without spending a day lounging at a beautiful beach club. The beach clubs in Bali are known for having beautiful aesthetics, great music, tourist friendly food & drink options, and all for a very affordable price. You could easily spend a full day enjoying everything they have to offer, or just make reservations for sunset dinners by the ocean after a full day of exploring. Below are the top 7 beach clubs we found on our Bali trip.

*Note: There is usually a “minimum spend” fee for any reserved daybeds, however these fees are typically the equivalent of $30-100USD and goes towards your food & drinks purchases there.

-El Kabron, Uluwatu. If you can only make it to one day club in Bali, I highly suggest making it El Kabron. This was my favorite location we visited, and I loved everything about it — the view was stunning, the food was delicious, the music was great, and we were treated to the best sunset we saw in Bali. The daybed reservations are first come first serve, so even if you have a reservation you need to arrive early in order to get a daybed close to the pool/edge. Like most places in Uluwatu, this club is on a cliffside, so it’s just an infinity pool - no beach.

-Sundays Beach Club, Uluwatu. Sundays Beach Club is a beautiful boho beach shack right on the beach (and offers free beach gear such as standup paddle boards, snorkle gear, etc). They have a limited section of reserved beach chairs and bungalows (that require a min spend). For those without reservations, there are little bean bag chairs & umbrellas on the beach that are first come first serve — and dependent on the tide. You’ll definitely want to arrive early, as my husband and I arrived at noon and had to wait 2 hours until the tide went out enough for more chairs. I will say though that they are extremely organized and call people in the order that they arrived as more chairs are put out, so there’s no chaos trying to grab seats. Additionally, while waiting you can use the resort pool at the top of the cliff or wait in the restaurant on the beach to have some food and drinks.

-Palmilla, Uluwatu. We unfortunately did not have a chance to visit this Instagram-famous beach club, but it’s on my list for our next Bali trip. This is another beach club that sits directly on the beach and also offers a pool to swim in.

-Ulu Cliffhouse, Uluwatu. Ulu Cliffhouse was another stunning cliff-side club we visited in Uluwatu. This spot was extremely beautiful with a lot of greenery and flowers. I also felt that this one seemed more family friendly than El Kabron, but that could also just be the day we visited (Sat vs Mon). I highly recommend trying out their pizza and desserts.

-The Lawn, Canggu. The Lawn was very beautiful, but is a bit smaller than the other beach clubs we visited; I highly recommend making prior reservations, as all we were able to get without them was a small hightop table near the bar. This club sits on the beach and also has a small infinity pool looking out onto the water.

-La Brisa, Canggu. La Brisa was where we went for our last night in Bali and it was such a great way to end the trip. This is a very unique location that looks like it’s made out of shipwrecked wood. This was probably one of the largest beach clubs we visited as well, and there were tons of seating areas. Reservations are recommended to get a spot near the beach to view the sunset, but we got very lucky and were given a little bean bag chair table on a second floor with a view of the beach.

-Omma, Ubud. You’ll probably be surprised to see an Ubud location on this list, but tucked away in the central jungle area of Ubud is this pretty day club with a beautiful view of a lush waterfall from the pool. Like most day clubs in Bali, there is a minimum spend per area of the club, with the highest min spend on the pool deck.
