If you’re looking for a cute spot to go cafe hopping outside of Seoul, I highly recommend checking out the Suwon Fortress area. There is actually quite a bit to do in this area to fill a full day, including a hot air balloon ride, archery, a historical palace, and plenty of cute cafes and restaurants. Below are 7 of the most aesthetic cafes worth visiting at Suwon Fortress.

*As a note, parking at Suwon Fortress can be very difficult to find (especially on weekends). Sometimes you can get lucky and find street parking, however below are two parking lots I’ve used before:

-Cafe Paletscent. This minimalistic cafe has amazing desserts and one of the most stunning views of the fortress gate. Make sure you head to the rooftop for an even better view and photo op.

-Min Flower Cafe. (prev Bubu Flower Cafe) This stunning little cafe doubles as a flower shop, so the main feature on the first floor is the stunning display of flowers. The owner is incredibly sweet and serves the items on an aesthetic tray with a small flower display. The cafe sits right outside of the fortress near the parking garage.

-Cafe Hollywood. Although it’s on the smaller side, this cafe actually feels very spacious with it’s bright & airy decor. This is my favorite brunch spot in Suwon Fortress, highly recommend trying the avocado toast!

-Mattgreen Cafe. This 3-story cafe is so beautiful on every level and the drinks and desserts are very instagram-worthy. I highly recommend making your way up to the 2nd floor or rooftop.

-Gray Rock. This small Italian spot is in the same building as Cafe Paletscent and has the same stunning view of the fortress gate, making for a very photo worthy meal.

-House Plan B. Another great Italian spot within the fortress that also serves wine and coffee. This cafe is extremely aesthetic and features a large flower display in the front, perfect for getting an IG pic.
