The Supplements I Take Everyday

The Supplements I Take Everyday

Let me start by saying, if you follow a healthy, well-balanced diet, you may not need some of the supplements on this list. Supplements are not a magic pill that transform your body. However, when combined with a nutritious diet and solid workout plan, they can add some great health benefits. I typically take the following 5 supplements every morning.

As always, it’s best to consult with a doctor before adding new supplements into your routine, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions.

MULTI-VITAMIN

If you follow a perfect, well-balanced diet, you may not need a multi-vitamin. To be honest though, it’s human nature to not eat perfectly every day, and your body can start lacking essential vitamins and minerals. A good multi-vitamin can help to fill in those gaps and provide your body with the nutrients it’s missing out on. Keep in mind though, real whole foods will always be better for you. So a multi-vitamin should not replace fruits and vegetables in your diet.

GREENS

This is another product that isn’t necessary if you already follow an extremely healthy diet and make up a large portion of your diet with fruits and vegetables. But for most of society, it can be helpful to up your micronutrients by drinking a glass every day. Greens will assist with lots of antioxidants and support your immune system. It’s important to find a good Greens product though, as many companies use air dried or barrel dried greens which lose nutritional value. I use this one, and they use freeze-dried greens to maintain all of the nutrients.

PROBIOTIC/DIGESTIVE INZYMES

Probiotics essentially contain good bacteria to help your gut, which is shockingly tied to A LOT in the body. They help with digestion and digestive issues, but have also been said to help with conditions regarding mental health, skin, heart, etc. I personally take a GI Support supplement that contains probiotics and digestive enzymes. You can also get probiotics naturally with foods such as yogurt, Kombucha, miso, sauerkraut, pickles, and other fermented foods.

BIOTIN

I personally take biotin to help with hair, skin, and nails. It can also assist with reducing inflammation and blood sugar. Not everyone needs biotin supplements though, and it can be found in eggs, nuts, whole grains, mushrooms, bananas, and more.

OMEGA-3

Omega-3 is probably one of the most important supplements you can take, as most of us don’t get enough and usually get too much of Omega-6 found in nearly all processed foods in America. Omega-3 is vital in decreasing inflammation in the body. In contributes to healthy organ function, eye health, and brain/mood health. Additionally, it has been shown to help fight autoimmune disorders, cancers, and heart disease. You can naturally find omega-3 in salmon, grass fed beef, and walnuts, but it’s beneficial to include this supplement in your diet as well.

I personally buy my supplements from this brand; I’ve used them for 4 years now, and have been working with them for about 2 years. If you’d like to purchase, my discount code ALICIA can save you some money.
